Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is as near perfect as they come ... beautiful colouring in the macro subject, with complementary touches of the neutral tone dotted in the background. That background is well out of focus because the depth of field is spot on. What makes this outstanding is the level of textural detail captured on the seed head ... I can feel the velvety texture of that dark choclatey 'star'.
A strong subject, well selected and very competently photographed ... the smallest minus because this is probably one of the most captured plant seed heads so not 100% originality ... having said that I would be very happy to own this in my portfolio ... well done.
